Located on a full block bounded by Cass and California Streets and 21st and 22nd Streets, the Ahmanson Law Center opened in October 1974. Classes transitioned to the new premises on October 21st. The relocation involved the transfer of a law library comprising 100,000 volumes over a span of four days in mid-October. Teams of law students assisted University staff in accomplishing this task.
