The dedication of the Ahmanson Law Center at the Creighton University School of Law on September 13, 1975, marked the culmination of extensive planning and preparation spanning five years, involving the administration, the law school community, and supporters of Creighton University.
During the dedication ceremonies, Robert Heron Bork, Harold Gill Reuschlin, and Aimee T. Ahmanson were honored with the degree of Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa. Additionally, Roman L. Hruska, an alumnus of the Creighton University School of Law from the class of 1929, received an Alumni Achievement Citation.

The Ahmanson Law Center Dedication booklet comprises the dedication program, profiles of the School of Law's administration and faculty, a brief history of the School of Law, along with colorful photographs and diagrams showcasing various sections of the building and acknowledging their respective donors.
On September 13, a dedication dinner at the Hilton Hotel featured remarks by Roman L. Hruska, the United States Senator of Nebraska, and James P. White, Consultant on Legal Education to the American Bar Association, Professor of Law, and Dean for Academic Planning at Indiana University. The event's keynote address was delivered by Robert H. Bork, the Solicitor General of the United States.
Further comments were delivered during the ceremonies by Robert F. Drinan, Representative of the Fourth District of Massachusetts, and Paul W. White, Chief Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court. Additionally, the inaugural TePoel Lecture, delivered by Harold J. Berman, Story Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, was included as part of the event.
