Most publisher/journal web sites allow users to set up table of contents (TOC) email alerts. This process may vary from site to site.
To set up an alert:
- Search for your favorite journal through Creighton University Libraries catalog, JaySearch
- On the journal's homepage or listing in the database, look for links that say “Sign Up for E-Alerts” or “Issue Alert” or similar descriptions
- Depending on the platform, you will need to provide some personal information including your email address and may be required to create a free account on the web site
- When you receive alerts, the links contained within are not connected to your library account, even if you signed up with your Creighton email. If you are working on campus or from the Creighton VPN, when you follow a hyperlinked article in an alert, our Creighton authentication (OpenAthens) will likely bring you to the Creighton access to enable you to read the full-text
