Love Data Week is an international celebration of data, taking place every year during the week of Valentine's day. Universities, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, corporations and individuals are encouraged to host and participate in data-related events and activities.
The 2025 theme is “Whose Data Is It, Anyway?” Take a moment to consider who owns data versus who uses it. Researchers, governments, companies, and organizations collect data—they may own it, share it, publish it, or combine it. This year’s Love Data Week challenges us to ask, Whose Data Is It, Anyway?—a reminder to think critically about data sources before using them.
Join International Love Data Week, February 10-14, 2025, to explore data sharing, stewardship, and access—covering key topics like funder requirements, data documentation, storage, and discovery—while reflecting on data ownership and responsibility.
New recordings will be released each day and will remain available after the event, so you can watch at your convenience! Join us throughout the week to expand your knowledge and explore best practices in data management.
