Public health practitioners rely on timely and accurate data to inform decisions, guide interventions, and support communities. Federal policies and administrative actions can significantly shape the availability of these resources. Recent changes in executive priorities have led to the removal or restructuring of thousands of government web pages and datasets, including materials from agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or the Census Bureau. These resources often contain critical information on health guidelines, training materials, data, or patient/consumer oriented materials.
This collection of resources explores how federal administration decisions impact public health information systems and practitioners’ ability to access essential data and how/where practitioners can still find this critical information via data rescue initiatives.
