Your Liaison Librarian

Your liaison librarian is dedicate to supporting your studies and tailoring the library' support to your needs. As part of this approach, your liaison librarian is available via email or for one-on-one consultations via Zoom to support your research needs and help you complete your capstone project.  This support extends beyond our capstone course, please don't hesitate to reach out early and throughout your program. These services might include:

  • Helping you find publicly available data to reuse in your capstone project
  • Consulting on the data management process throughout your research project
  • Improving your literature search strategy and helping you find necessary background research for your project
  • Helping you find statistics to support your research project
  • Helping you find methodological guidance and similar research for your chosen topic
  • Teaching you how to use RefWorks, the library's citation manager

Additionally, as you are strongly encouraged to disseminate the results of your capstone project, the library can help you

  • Navigate the publishing process
  • Choose journals that fit your research
  • Avoid predatory publishers
  • Understand journal metrics
  • Demystify copyright
  • Publish open access
  • Share you date for reuse
