The Yale MeSH Analyzer can help this process by automatically retrieving the article metadata necessary for generating a MeSH analysis grid, and automatically formatting the display of the grid.

MeSH on Demand identifies MeSH® terms in your submitted text (abstract or manuscript). MeSH on Demand also lists PubMed similar articles relevant to your submitted text.

WordFreq is a tool which is designed to take a library of articles, and output the most common words/phrases that appear within that library. It is a helpful tool for identifying additional keywords and phrases for a systematic search.

The SearcherRefinery tool compares a list of PubMed IDs (Seed PMIDS) against a PubMed search and displays the number of PubMed search results, relevant citations to find, and relevant citations found. Use this tool to identify terms and phrases in your search than are adding irrelevant results to your search.

In searching for research articles, we often want to obtain lists of references from across studies, and also obtain lists of articles that cite a particular study. In systematic reviews, this supplementary search technique is known as "citation chasing": forward citation chasing looks for all records citing one or more articles of known relevance; backward ciation chasing looks for all records referenced in one or more articles.This package contains functions to automate this process by making use of the Lens.org API.
