Springer Nature Open Access Agreement

Through a publishing agreement Springer Nature, Creighton faculty, residents, staff, and students are eligible to publish open access, for free in over 2000 eligible Springer Nature hybrid journals.

To take advantage of fee-free publishing, the corresponding author must be affiliated with Creighton University, and must identify as such during the author identification process - we recommend inputting Creighton as you institutional affiliation when prompted, and using your Creighton email address.

See the links below for more information, including a guide for authors and complete list of eligible journals.

If you have any questions, reach out to your liaison librarian.

American Chemical Society Green Open Access Agreement

Through an agreement with the American Chemical Society, Creighton authors can immediately self-archive their work for any article published in an ACS hybrid journal.

After your article has been accepted, you will have the option to retain your copyright in the author-accepted manuscript, and share that freely in ResearchWorks or a subject repository.

To take advantage of this program, be sure that the corresponding author of the article lists Creighton University as their affiliation.

Creighton authors also qualify for a reduced APC rate when choosing to publish the version of record in an ACS hybrid journal. The reduced APC rates are:

  • CC BY license: $2,000
  • CC BY-NC-ND license: $1,500
