What is Scopus AI?

Scopus AI is a research tool that uses the Scopus research repository to help users understand and navigate academic content using natural language queries. Scopus AI results provide summaries, references, foundational papers, and emerging themes which provide answers and potential related topic areas.  Scopus AI displays:

A basic summary, an expanded summary, references, and foundational references in the response

Uses Scopus proprieritary AI Copilot program to run a vector and/or keyword searches

Results include a Concept Map that is a visual overview map of related topics

Foundational papers are included to gives helpful background context for the response provided 
 

Use Cases

  • Looking at subject to generate ideas for research
  • Has a natural language search query option
  • Preliminary start for researching a topic
  • Finding additional papers on your topic
  • Indentifying if your topic is too broad or narrow
  • Provide short summaries, foundational documents, and references 
  • Endeavors to identify and reduce bias in results

Tips and Tricks

  • Use the "Follow up questions" box to refine or focus your search results
  • "Extended summary", "Topic experts", for additional information
  • "Concept maps" show closely related topics in other areas to encourage interprofessional cooperative activities
  • Provides a "Go Deeper" list and a beta "Emerging themes" for further exploration
  • Summary Tables include links to related references
  • Embedded reference numbers enable you to check for article full-text access
