Elizabeth Kiscaden, MLIS, AHIP, Assistant Vice Provost of Library Services, is the lead author of a research article published in the Journal of the Medical Library Association. The article, titled Impact of a Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS) Sponsorship Program on the Ability of Public Library Staff to Provide Consumer Health Information, evaluates a sponsorship intended to support public library staff in providing consumer health information. Co-authors on the publication include Michele Spatz, MS, University of Washington, Susan Wolfe, Ph.D., University of Washington, Molly Knapp, MA, University of Utah, and Erica Lake, MLS, Essentia Health.

 

Christine Carmichael, MS LIS, Web Services/ Business Reference Librarian, published Culturally Relevant, Musically Diverse, Lyrically Complex: a review of Radio Company's 2-volume discography in Modern Music Analysis, a new electronic journal on Medium.com. The article attempts to “expose themes across both albums and place Radio Company’s works within a cultural context.” 

 

In June 2021, Karina Kletscher and Judi Bergjord attended Widening Access for Success: Supporting neurodiverse students through awareness, advocacy, pedagogy, learning environments, and collaborative partnerships”, a free webinar sponsored by ICON, a Nebraska-based consortium of libraries and librarians interested in health sciences information.
