ACS Guide to Scholarly Communications: Version 4.3.3

ACS Style requires journals to be in an abbreviated format. Each journal has its own standard abbreviation. Use the CAS Source Index to locate a journal by title to find its standardized abbreviation.

The Libraries strongly encourage Chemistry students to use a citation manager such as RefWorks when using this style.

DOI Tools

The digital object identifier (DOI) is a unique number assigned to electronic content on the web, and should be part of your citation when available.
