RefWorks

This guide will offer information on how to use RefWorks, with more information on other citation styles as well

About

There are many other freemium citation manager software, some of which you may have or had at other institutions. Some of the most popular are:

  • EndNote
  • Mendeley
  • Paperpile

If you have previously used one of these additional tools for your coursework and/or research and still have access, we welcome you to continue using these as part of your personal workflows. A few things to keep in mind:

  • You can easily migrate a citation library to or from RefWorks
  • Creighton-licensed databases will default exporting citations via RefWorks, so please make sure to choose the appropriate export option. Most citation managers can read a .RIS file

As the Creighton University Libraries does not license these products, we technically do not provide user support. We may be able to assist with certain questions, but highly recommend that you refer to the official training and support documentation for any other tools. YouTube can also be a great resource.
