Researching State Legislation

The best way to find a current piece of legislation is by searching a state's legislative website. Examples of such sites include:

Every state's website will vary slightly. Some will have better navigability and search tools than others. A Google search for [state legislature] + the state in which you're interested, should return the most appropriate state resources. Example searches: [state legislature Michigan] or [state legislature New Mexico].
