November/December 2022 Culinary Humanities

Food touches every facet concerning human existence. Explore the fascinating culinary world through the lens of the humanities.

Welcome!

Few subjects touch as many aspects of the world as food. This guide represents a slice of Creighton University Libraries' resources showing how the story of food weaves through history, the arts, how humans think and live, where we live and have evolved -- our story.

Just as the food blurs cultural lines, the resources represented in this guide transcend these fluid categories. Books about food and gender, or cookbooks easily crosses over into history. Dig into all the tabs and discover new ideas for assignments or research. Check out our displayed books and other resources at Reinert-Alumni Library or view the eBooks on this guide. As always, feel free to contact us with questions, or for more information.
