RefWorks is a web-based personal biblilographic database manager. Use it to create your own bibliographic database, format bibliographies, and share references with colleagues or classmates.
Contact the Reference, Research, and Instructional Services department if you need assistance:
We can work with you over the phone, in person, or via a virtual meeting if you are a distance student.
Creighton is currently using the Legacy version of RefWorks. When you export from a database, be sure to select the Legacy option.
If you are using a Macintosh computer and Word 2016, you will not be able to use the Write-n-Cite program. While RefWorks is currently working on a "fix" for these incompatibility issues, Mac users will have to use One Line/One Cite in the interim. Instructions on using One Line/One Cite are found below.
Please contact us if you need more information. We will keep this section updated on when to expect a fix.
Write-N-Cite is a small helper program for Microsoft Word. Once installed onto your computer, you will be able to cite references and insert bibliographies into your Word documents.
*Important: Please read the Mac and Word 2016 box for more information on what to use for these users.
*For Write-n-Cite to run, Mac 10.9 or 10.10 users need to install Java 6 from Apple's support site directly, by visiting http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572
