Research assistance is a catch-all term…the library can help connect you to resources and information as well as help you learn and develop strategies you need to get there. We can help you:

  • Find resources through the library and other sources or institutions

  • Breakdown the research process such as streamlining research questions

  • Devise search strategies when delving into the literature

  • Evaluate credibility and authority of sources

  • Organize coursework or research and/or create citations and bibliographies through management software like RefWorks and Zotero

  • Publish and/or host works via the Creighton Digital Repository

  • And more! Please don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance

Printing

There is a printer available for faculty, staff, and student use outside the library. Like the printers located throughout the building, it operates with your Creighton ID. Faculty and Staff should print jobs to the Faculty/Staff Secure then swipe their ID badges for access. Student jobs can be accessed with their ID badges and paid for with Jaybucks. Printing information and instructions can be found on the BluePrint Printing webpage.

Printers are maintained by Canon and are regularly replenished. For troubleshooting, please notify DoIT using the contact information and printer ID located on the top or front tags on the printer.

Office Supplies

Office supplies such as staplers, hole punch, or a paper cutter are located inside the library. These supplies are maintained by the Library. To ensure access and available supplies for all, please be courteous with the items and do not remove them from the Library space. Please notify the librarian if any instruments are broken and/or missing.

Study Room Access and Reservations

The HSL does not manage these spaces (3rd floor study rooms, prebrief rooms, debrief rooms). These spaces are equipped with whiteboards and markers; you are welcome to pickup more markers from the HSL if needed. Room reservations will soon be available via an app, until then, please follow the guidelines below:

General use reservations

The outside signage on each room on the PHSC is currently not operational which in turn means that a room shows “available” when it actually may be reserved.  Students can reserve space for study session, exams, and small group meetings, etc. via the Phoenix Health Science Academic Room Request form.

Room reservation confirmation(s) will be sent to the CU Mail account of the primary requestor once the linked form is submitted and processed.  Reservations can be viewed at any time in the Phoenix 25live using your Creighton credentials (NetID, blue password) to log in to see all room availability.

Student Organizations Use

Student organizations need to follow the guidelines set by the Student Leadership and Involvement Center (SLIC), which may be found on the Student Organization Event Scheduling page.
