How can I request help with a literature search?

We encourage students to meet with a librarian to go over their topic and learn about our databases and resources. Please contact us by e-mail or call (402) 280-5138 for assistance.

What is RefWorks and how do I get help in setting up my account?

RefWorks is a bibliographic management tool that can help you organize and manage your citations. RefWorks can also insert and format your citations according to the citation style of your choice, and create bibliographies for your papers. If you have previously used a tool like EndNote, the reference librarians can help you move your EndNote citations into your new RefWorks account. Contact us for help on setting up your account and getting started with RefWorks.

How do I request an article or book through Interlibrary Loan and how much does it costs?

ILL requests can be sent via this form. Requests are free of charge for faculty, students, and staff. Please budget time in for fulfillment.

How long can I checkout materials?

A list of materials and check-out policies can be found here.

How do I renew materials I've checked out?

To check your account, you can go JaySearch, then click "Sign In" at the top right. Once you have signed in with your Creighton netID and password, you can click "My Account", where you can view items you have checked out, and renew items.

How do I check out the models? Can I reserve models and simulators?

Models can be checked out for in-library use only for up to 4 hours. You may renew if needed longer. You can reserve models, simulators, and education kits through this form or by visiting the Learning Resources Center page.

How do I access course reserves?

Course reserves may be accessed through BlueLine. From there, you will need to click "Library Resources" from the left navigation pane, then choose HSL eReserves. You may then search for your course either by the instructor's name or by course number. From there, you may enter in your case-sensitive course password, which your instructor will have shared with you.
