Graphic Novels Added

The Reinert-Alumni Library has expanded its Graphic Novels collection in response to increasing demand for this genre, as a teaching resource as well as for leisure. Same Day Software Installation

October 2016

The Reinert-Alumni Library installed OpenCode on multiple library computers at the request of a faculty member in the College of Arts & Sciences. OpenCode, a tool for coding qualitative data from text, will support a graduate student project to develop services at a church in central Nebraska.

Hold It!

August, 2016

The new JaySearch system now allows you to renew any items you have checked out from the Reinert-Alumni or Health Sciences Libraries using your Creighton credentials. No more PIN numbers! You can also place an item on "hold" in the new system, for pick-up after 48 hours.

Education Source Now Available

June, 2016

This new database provides full-text coverage of education journals for students, professionals, and policy makers, from 1929 to present. It covers all levels of education--from early childhood to higher education--as well as all educational specialties such as multilingual education, health education, and testing.

Reinert-Alumni Library Hours Extended

April, 2016

In response to student requests, the Reinert-Alumni Library will remain open past midnight until 1:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, starting this fall. The Library is currently open 24/7 during midterms and finals, and the Commons area is also open 24/7 on a regular basis.

Statistical Software in the Libraries

March, 2016

Both SAS and SPSS are now available on selected workstations in the Reinert-Alumni Library. Several faculty in Arts & Sciences and Business requested the installation on behalf of their students. The Health Sciences Library provides SPSS for student use as well.

Rare Books Room Viewing Hours

By popular demand, the Rare Books Room in the Reinert-Alumni Library is now open during scheduled hours, allowing visitors to view the St. John's Bible and other treasures. Viewing hours may vary, but are posted on the University Archives website: http://www.creighton.edu/archives/.

Citation Help for Students

August, 2015

During recent listening tours, graduate faculty expressed concern about their students' struggle with bibliographic citation. The Reinert-Alumni Library's website now features extensive How to Cite information, and a detailed new guide to RefWorks is available from the Health Sciences Library.
